Diversity panel explores coming out

To meet the need of "a significant, silent group of gay students at Cabrini," Cabrini's annual Cultural Kaleidoscope week featured a gay and lesbian forum. "I felt there was a need for this [forum]," said Suzanne Mallaghan-Rasco, a psychologist in the Rooymans Center who organized the event.

Not unlucky but 13Even

"I do a lot of walking. and one day I ran into Greg. He needed a singer, and I thought 'Why not?'" Kevin Healey, the lead singer of 13Even, said shrugging. Kevin rocks back and forth in his chair and drops his eyes almost shyly. Hard to believe that the lead singer of an aggressive rock band could be shy, but then 13Even hardly fits the norm when it comes to music.

Neville has students at heart

Disclaimer: The author of this article is in no way trying to suck up. Really. Honest. I've been at this school for nearly four years now, and I've been through a lot with Cabrini. I've seen housing problems, pudding wrestling, meningitis scares, and even a hurricane.

Same great station, new burning sensation

The new fall season for WYBF "The Burn" has officially begun. This season marks many changes for our college station, including new shows, promotions and giveaways, and a new executive staff. New shows to this season's lineup are "Brutally Honest," a talk show hosted by WYBF's own general manager Krista Mazzeo, "Hear and Now," a talk show similar to the former "Burning Issues," and "(Insert Your Own Name) Here," a listener based talk show hosted by the station's assistant operations manager Julian Smoger.

Athletes and family aid freshmen move-in day

Cabrini College opened its gates to the largest incoming freshman class in its history on August 24. 490 first year students were matriculated into the Cabrini community later that day, 370 of which are living on campus. In addition to the number of freshman living on campus this year, 456 returning upperclassmen also call Cabrini "home" for the 2002-03 school year, making a grand total of eight hundred and twenty-six students residing on campus.

Accessibility a must on Cabrini’s campus

Let me preface this article by saying how much I enjoy being a student here at Cabrini. I enjoy living on campus and think I go to a great college. Really, I do. Honest. That being said, I have a complaint. I think Cabrini is not conscious of the needs of the handicapped students that attend this institution.
