Williams qualifies in 400m dash

There certainly has been a lot of traveling for this team. For the third time this month, track and field has taken the long bus ride to New York for a meet. The Gotham Cup was a big meet for the men's and women's track and field team to perform well in. The team began their meet in the New York Armory on Friday, Feb.

New Year’s Resolutions

Getting fit, being more organized and quitting smoking are very familiar ideas that people share for their New Year's resolution. Around Christmas time and New Year's, you hear conversations everywhere about how people want to better their lives. The tradition of the New Year's resolutions goes all the way back to 153 B.

Causes of high blood pressure

High blood pressure is greatly affecting our society. The number of people who have high blood pressure is increasing rapidly. The American Heart Society stated that one-third of all adults have high blood pressure or hypertension. Hypertension goes along with high blood pressure because of the strain on the heart when it has to push the blood out.

Williams boasts years of experience

Junior volleyball player Lizzie Williams received the first player of the week award in her career. Williams has played for the Cabrini volleyball team for three years as a setter. "Even though we have had a rough start with only a few wins, the beginning of our season is always the hardest," Williams said.

Lady Cavaliers look to rebound after loss

The Lady Cavs suffered its second loss of the season but have not lost faith in its team. Their 3-1 loss against Misericordia University puts them at a record of 3-2. Sophomore special education major Courtney Davis said, "Even though it is our second loss of the season, we still have plenty of games to prove ourselves.

Field hockey looks ahead to conference play

"Together we are one and fit together like a family," sophomore special education major Courtney Davis said about her team. Over the past ten years, coach Jackie Neary has lead her team to the league semifinals seven times. Neary and the three senior captains, Kate Ryan, Elissa Salantri and Melissa Benedetti, hope that they can lead the team to eight.
