Seasonal depression hits Delaware Valley this year

The winter's tyrant rule has finally come to an end, and summer has begun to shine through, giving many students an extra swagger in their steps. Warm spring weather is cracking people's winter shells, and snapping them out of hibernation, and back into summer mode.

Health Fair shocks Cabrini students

With a strong turnout of over 100 people, over a dozen interactive health stations and enough free give-a-ways to make any needy college student happy, this year's Health Fair provided more interesting information in three hours than many students witness in an entire semester.

Trend diets, weight loss options

Whether it was the late night infomercial you accidently heard as you tossed and turned in your bed, or the new salads available at every major fast food chain, dieting has never looked better. With the steady supply of different diets and programs, Weight loss seems to be on everyone's mind these days.

Active trax encourages workout

Although the Dixon Center's many different strength training set-ups, and regular workout equipment may provide enough stimulation for the average trainer, many students are exploring the more efficient workout techniques available. With a turnout of over 100 students, this year's murder mystery dinner was the largest it has ever been. The murder mystery dinner took place on Thursday, October 28th, in Cabrini College's Mansion Dining Room and yet again proved to be an unique event that many students look forward to year after year.

Although many people cringe when they see Christmas decorations before Halloween, retail stores claim they are simply meeting customer demands when decorating for Christmas early in the year. Many stores at the King of Prussia Mall have already begun celebrating the holidays with decorated trees, holiday specials and signs anticipating the seasonal events.

Being a commuter has its’ benefits

For many colleges across the Country, there seems to be two distinct groups of students that attend their schools, the students who live there, and the students who commute. For generations these schools, Cabrini being no different, have tried many different ways to help keep the commuting students from feeling left out such as commuter-holidays, special events, and even novelty t-shirts.

Fun Filled Family Weekend

Cabrini College will celebrate this year's Family Weekend on Friday, Oct. 1, and Saturday, Oct. 2. With an expected turnout of over 500 people not including students, Family Weekend is easily one of Cabrini's most highly anticipated annual events. This solid tradition dates back as far as 1957 and has consistently been a successful way that both the students and faculty can say thank you to the students' families in a formal, yet highly entertaining way.
