These supplies also come with a hefty price tag. According to the National Retail Federation, college students across the world preparing for this up coming school year are going to spend a total of $10.

This year, Cabrini students have made their predictions on which two teams in Major League Baseball they think are going to finish out on top for this upcoming 2007 season. The New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies are two teams in which fans have high hopes for to go all the way.

The women's basketball team owned the court Thursday night, Feb. 8, winning 62-37 against backyard revivals, Eastern University. In attendance were students, faculty and the Lady Cavaliers' devoted family members, who all showed up with their school spirit.

Super Bowl XLI aired on Sunday, February 4 with a struggle between the, National Football Conference champions, the Bears and the, American Football Conference champions the Colts. As both teams competed for bragging rights as the 2007 Super Bowl champions and Vince Lombardy trophy winners, marketers have spent endless hours and absorbent amounts of money on advertisements.

Women’s basketball drowns Wesley

The Lady Cavs, which have players ranging from freshmen to juniors, all showed up with their game faces on Monday night Jan. 29 at the Dixon Center. The Lady Cavs demolished the Wesley Wolverines 79-44. This win is a fast break into an overall record of 13-6 and 9-2 in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.

President pushes for new environmental plan, youth should get the message

Tuesday, Jan 23, 2007 the President of the United States delivered the State of the Union Address to Congress. President Bush's agenda for the night was to discuss three economic reforms such as: federal budget, earmarks and the challenge of entitlements. I don't see eye to eye on many of the same issues as the president except for the environmental issues discussed on Tuesday night.

Holidays are a time of the year when families come together to celebrate the importance of being surrounded by loved ones. Thanksgiving starts off the holiday season with the act of giving thanks to one another. The Transportation Research Board has released recent studies which are based on U.S. Census data showing since 1990 more Americans are working outside their county of residence and on average it now takes Americans 60 to 90 minutes to commute to their destination.

In an economy where gas prices are rising, it seems like hybrid cars are becoming the "it" car of today. The 2007 Toyota Prius is introducing a new improved type of hybrid driving called hybrid synergy driving. Hybrid synergy driving combines a gasoline engine with two electric motors, a battery pack, an electronically controlled, continuously variable transmission and power and control electronics.

The change in lifestyle which consists of constant stress, lack of active movement and poor sleeping and eating habits all play a major role on our waist line. Consumption of alcohol also plays a major role in college weight gain. Everyone entering college has the dreaded "freshmen 15" on their mind.

Cabrini faculty joins Catholic Relief Services to end slavery

Five Cabrini College faculty and staff members embarked on a 14- day solidarity journey to Brazil. With the guidance of Cabrini Missionary Sisters and Catholic Relief Services, along with translators due to the Portuguese language barrier, they all traveled to Sao Paulo and the poor interior region of Brazil.
