Sick and tired of the typical night out entailing dinner and a movie? Well you’re in luck because there is a new attraction in Wayne right on Lancaster Avenue.
It is an unique new art studio called Painting with a Twist. Co-owner of the store, Doug Sweet, explains that the studio’s main objective “is to have fun.”
The studio is not for serious artists, rather a place to go where you can loosen up with a glass of wine, listen to music and of course paint.
When you walk in, the studio feels more like a party where food, wine and beer is all welcome.
“It is a way to be creative that not a lot of people have the opportunity to do,” said and employee, Aaron Nicholas. “We don’t look to be critical, were here just to have fun and help you on the way.”
You can book a private party, participate in date night, or just go to a regular class.
“We have a collection online that has over 1,000 paintings varying from classics and contemporary artist,” Nicholas said. “Whatever your taste, you can choose a painting from the collection to do in the studio.”
The company started in New Orleans and found its way to Lancaster. Co-owner Doug Sweet along with his wife are very excited to be in town while bringing along something completely original.
