Cabrini College has many graduate programs and since they have been growing, the college decided it was time to get the graduate students more involved with the campus. The first orientation for graduate students was held over this past summer and they plan to have one this upcoming summer as well.

“The orientation is for new students who are enrolled in our off-campus graduate program,”Ben Mincer, graduate admissions counselor, said. “Registration for the event is offered online and it is open to those students who are starting the off-campus program.”

New Student Orientation is offered for students to get better acquainted with the campus and all the resources that are available to them. The graduate students who come to this are given information on all the facilities and help centers that Cabrini has to offer. The students receive information on the Dixon center facilities. The graduate students learn about the math resource center along with the writing center.

The graduate students also have access to all of the library’s online databases so they have the opportunity to learn more about them at the orientation as well.

Stephanie Gibbs, Ed. D, director of graduate admissions, said, “There are currently 13 satellite campuses and a total of roughly 1,000 students enrolled in the Cabrini graduate programs.”

Cabrini offers masters degrees in education, accounting and leadership, a degree of master of arts in religious and pastoral studies and a doctorate in education degree.

In the spring of 2016, Cabrini will begin to offer masters of  arts and religious and pastoral studies, as well as a doctorate of education. The satellite campuses hold graduate classes at high schools in the evening so it is easier for people to get to class instead of coming to the college’s campus for class.
