Girls, do us a favor please and just be yourself

Are girls who wear too much makeup attractive? Do you find it weird when girls come to class and they look like they just rolled out of bed? These are many topic of conversation that goes through a college male’s mind when they see any of these instances occur.

I know plenty of girls who wear absolutely too much makeup. The funny part is that most of the time they look really hot. But when you catch them when they are not sometimes I do not even recognize them. Most of the time they do not even look that pretty. How a girl can go from looking absolutely gorgeous to someone who does not even catch my eye a little bit is very odd. There are girls who I know and who I think are pretty and when I see them without makeup they do not look their best, but I can still tell who they are and for the most part still look pretty.

I know girls who are naturally beautiful who, when they roll out of bed and come to class, are still really pretty. For some girls I think they are just natural and others may need to put a little more work in.

Now for those who know me personally, you probably are cracking up right now and can relate my opinion on my past experiences but that is where we will draw the line. I could not just talk about my own opinion, so I asked others their thoughts on this.

Sophomore Brandon Weaver thinks that make up is okay, but their natural beauty brings out the better side of them.

Sophomore bio pre-med major Devyn Rosner told me that he always thinks people should do whatever they want and looking nice is very much appreciated. Rosner also stated that make up could sometimes be misleading but he is okay with that.

I felt that asking a girl’s opinion on this would help me better understand this topic, so I asked sophomore education major Julia Desanto her opinion on this topic. Desanto’s opinion was that girls should just be natural and worry about their studies and not go to the bathroom every 10 minutes worrying about how they look.

Freshman Sam Ettore feels that girls are trying to hide their real self and can give people a false impression.

In my own experience, I once had a girl sleep over, and when I woke up I just went to class and did not realize that her makeup was all over my clothes. You can probably just sense the embarrassment I went through in class.
