Campus Ministry held their annual silent auction to benefit student service immersion trips to West Virginia, Ecuador, New York, and New Mexico on Nov. 29, 2011 in the Grace Hall Atrium.
The History Forum focuses on different themes each year and brings prominent scholars to campus to share their expertise with faculty, staff, students, alumni and visitors.
Each of these artists has utilized musical creativity that has positioned themselves as respected artists within the music industry and has harnessed a vigorous work ethic that will breathe fresh air into the realms of the Hip-Hop movement that will disprove the people claiming that “Hip-Hop is dead.”
The Washington Center Discussion spoke about opportunities the institute offers. Students attended the discussion to learn about internships, academic seminars and intern abroad programs.
Lindsey Scott, a 22-year old recent graduate, from Gettysburg College has traced her hometown roots back to Philadelphia to work as an admissions counselor in the Office of Admissions at Cabrini College.
Dr. Bettye Collier-Thomas presented “The Nexus: Women, Religion, Race, and Civil Rights” as the 2011 Jolyon Pitt Girard Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence Lecture on Thursday, Sept. 29 in the historic Woodcrest Mansion.
