Application low down – Yik Yak and EasyBib

October 2, 2014

Yik Yak is an anonymous gossip application that jumped in November 2013. The app allows anonymous people to rant about anything in your community. When using this app, you don’t even have to make an account; you just use your location as your login. I would define this app as an anonymous Twitter. The app allows people in a community or school to converse about what they like and dislike. This could be controversy or a good thing. The pro to this app is people would not have to worry about being cyber bullied. At the same time, this app could make a community/school’s reputation go down the drain. Posts could also be very hurtful and spiteful. In the end, this app is a great way for student or people living in a community to get thoughts out without distress.

Confused by the citations for your ECG classes? Don’t know how to source papers for your science classes?

EasyBib is a website used to help you create MLA, APA, and Chicago/Turabian styles. All you have to do is type or copy and paste your source in the search bar on the homepage of the site. The site is easy to use and will even put your citations in alphabetical order for you in the end. EasyBib can even be used as an educator’s blog. Teachers can give their students tools to crediting research.
