On Friday,  Sept. 19, there was an accounting job fair being hosted by Cabrini College. Multiple law firms came to campus to introduce students to future possibilities.

Regina O’ Keefe and Jessica Boone were two who were representing Gable Peritz Mishkin, LLP firm located in Spring House, Pa. Their duties are business consulting, business evaluations, estate planning and much more.

Regina O’Keefe has been with the firm for 29 years and this was her first accounting job. They look out for the best interest of their customers and help any way possible. O’Keefe and Boone came into this business straight out of school. Boone said, She picked this firm because they were very family orientated and got along with each other great.

Another representative that participated in the event was Susan Baker. Baker is a part of the Devon Financial Partners firm. They are a boutique firm and specialize in insurance and financial planning for people’s futures. Baker became a partner in the firm about two years ago and has loved it ever since. She was referred by a friend. She was called in for the interview process and was fortunate enough to get called back for the job.

The main focus at this firm is to “make sure the customer is okay.” Everyone needs help with future planning, so why not start with someone who is a master of it. During Baker’s time at the firm she realized how important life insurance is. Dealing with different clients it had a great impact on her. She said, if she hadn’t helped one of her clients get life insurance their family may have not been financially okay. A few weeks after she met the client, he dropped dead from a heart attack. She learned many life lessons that touched her and she now can take certain things into consideration.
