Azurdia was just one witness to an ethnic genocide that killed over 200,000 over the 36-year civil war in Guatemala that halted economic growth. His story and others from San Lucas Mission was shared to a group of 10 students, faculty and alumni that immersed themselves in the society of the over spring break.
